Im looking for a radiator for a 1968 Barracuda 318.....I cant seem to find one anywhere...I guess it is due to the brackets.......anyone know what to expect to pay for a rebuild of the one i have here?

Get the alluminum, you can always paint it black if you want.

Any suggestions on which ones are more affordable? I saw a few aluminum on ebay but dont know if they 100% will fit...like $179.00

I have one from a 67 Barracuda, 273. The numbers on top are: 2785973, 38086. Upper hose is slightly offset to driver side, lower is driver side.

It was in a running car and wasn't leaking but you'd probably want someone to look at it.

If that's something you're interested in, let me know and I can post pics and figure out a price.

More likely due to your lower hose being on the driver's side. The water pump changed in 1970 to passenger side lower. I used a later alum w.p. in my 65 small block, but caused p.s. and pulley issues.

I had the local radiator shop move the lower inlet for the 318. Clean, paint and move the inlet was $100.00

I think I am going to try to have the radiator recored....any Idea what I should expect to spend??

350 to 500

Dave is right depending on the amount of cores 3-350 for 2 core add around 100 for each additional with bubble top radiator. I just had done for my BB A-body about a year ago I think it was around 425. parts and labor to re-core.

problem I have found with aftermarket ones is that there are none listed for the '68 because of the brackets, and the drivers side inlet/outlet. anyone know of a source for an aluminum one, Im not opposed to that for the price difference. lol
