In 1966, the A/Stock was part of the Top Stock Class in the NHRA.

In Stock Class, the 426 Street Hemi cars had to run on 7" Wide
Slicks, and with the exhaust system attached to the car.

But, they were permitted to run with the Racer Brown 'STX-23'
'Mechanical' Camshaft and higher load-rate Valve Springs.
