I've never been, is there usually a decent amount of mopar stuff here?

I've heard there is some mopar stuff but I've never been either but plan on going to check it out. I know it's not as large as the Pomona swap meet. I'll be there look for the guy wearing the mopar t shirt and a olive green booney hat...I should be easy to spot as not many people wear mopar shirts.

I went, I saw, and I bought a 1988 Chevy Camaro IROC Z-28 305 TBI V8
Some nice MOPAR's there, and some that were nice driving projects, but way over priced.
The wife saw this IROC Z28 and fell in love with it, and let me buy it for her.
114k on the odo, 1 owner California car, all original, no mods to the motor or interior, not hacked up, original radio, power everything. Open rear end, and this thing scoots along nice for a small block and burns rubber super easy, factory rated at 170hp at 4000 RPM and 255 foot pounds of torque. I know, not the best HP, but in it's time, that's what you had, and I had a 1983 Z28 and a 1983 Tans Am, and I loved those cars.

We pick it up later this week, the owner has to go smog it for us, then we can let money change hands...we shook on it, and we both took off, as it was raining. So hopefully he doesn't flake out on me.

Very Clean!

Well I was let go from my job two days before Thanksgiving. Which sucks, but I was planning on looking for a new career in Jan. I was hoping to apply to local Police Departments in Orange County, if anyone has a lead on an open position, I would greatly appreciate it.

Sorry to hear... Sucks when it happens this time of year. Or anytime for that matter.

Do you have a "post" certificate already, or do you need a department to put you thru ?I see you are in Huntington, and I know Newport is hiring laterals and or graduates.

I am applying as Academy Trainee, I heard most departments like to send you through their academy. I have checked out both of those and have applied to Orange, Laguna, Redondo, and Irvine.

Does anyone know a place that shortens rear ends and or axles too? I know Currie does, but apparently only ford, from what I read online.

I have never used this guys, but they've been in magazines such as Mopar Muscle.

Sutton

They're always advertising on Craigslist just do a search for MOPAR and rearend.

I called them up once to see what it would cost to relocate my spring perches from 44 to 43 inches on a B-Body rear end. They quoted me $100.00 to give you an idea of rates.

I need a good shop to rebuild my 360.

Thanks! I purchased Mad_Dart's housing that had already been shortened and came with aftermarket axles. All I need to do is weld perches. Call Brian at IMM he is in Indio, but knows his Mopar

Yeah, he seems to really know his stuff, but man the drive from Downey is gonna suck! If i take it to him, I really need to be sure that he'll be the one to do the work. In other words, I need to be sure I can afford it. lol

Anyone willing to help or know a place that can help me relocate my springs and install sliders? etc? Neighbor has mig welder (no gas) its a Lincoln

I have no clue what I'm doing, but I'll help!! I too have a MIG welder, but I also have gas. I'm trying to teach myself how to weld body panels without blowing through.

Haha thanks! But i think this job is a little much for something we could learn on. But we should plan a meet for sometime in middle to late march

I had Sutton do my 8-3/4 with Explorer ends for disc brakes. So far it looks good, but I am still building the car. He has a bunch of Mopars and parts all over his shop.

Good luck.

Hey guys, I know we all know about the donut shop GTG, but just wanted to throw this out there. Every Sunday from 7-9am a few guys get together at Balboa and Palm on the Peninsula in Newport Beach for a car show. The most cars there have been in the little parking lot is 72 and the least has been like 20. Hope to maybe meet some of you down there.

So Who wants to get a meet going? Car is moving and ready to stretch her legs!
