1970 Dodge Dart Swinger

Driver quality Dart Swinger. Less than 5,000 miles since Rebuild.

Purchased the car in 2005 with a running 273. I rebuilt a 318 I had in 2007, purchased rebuilt 904 transmission from Cope Racing Trans and swapped the 7 ¼” rear for an 8 ¾”.

Drivetrain:
1968 318 (.060 over bore makes 328 displacement), 9.2:1 Compression, T/A heads (2.02 Intake , 1.60 Exhaust), Comp Cams 268XE, Edelbrock Performer RPM, 670 CFM Holley Street Avenger, D.U.I. electronic ignition, Doug's Headers, Pypes X pipe violator exhaust. Aluminum radiator was installed in 2012 with an electric fan. New gas tank and fuel lines in 2005.
Dynamic 9.5" 3,200 stall converter, CRT Super Street 904, 8 ¾” 3.91 Suregrip rearend.

Suspension/Brakes:
Replaced front suspension bushings with polyurethane, added PST front and rear sway bars, installed new front disc brakes from SSBC with new stainless steel lines and master cylinder. Rims and tires new in 2007, front 15X6 with 205/60R15, rear 15X7 with 235/60R15. Good tread, could use professional alignment to help with handling. Manual steering, have power steering pump and gearbox that can be included if buyer wants.

Exterior:
Was painted green by previous owner, amateur job, but follows the 10mph/10 foot rule. Some chips, some bubbles on lower quarters. I added the AAR Fiberglass hood a few years ago.

Interior:
Hurst Gate/ratchet shifter. Front bucket seats from some sort of mopar, not correct to the car. I do have the original front bench seat. XV lap and shoulder seat belts. Rocky Mountain aluminum dash housing new Autometer electric gauges including electronic speedometer. No headliner in the car, have brand new in a box, missing some of the bows though.

Electrical upgrades:
New alternator, Painless fuse block, added relays for brighter headlights, new H4 Halogen headlights, all electronic gauges, electric radiator fan, small hi-torque starter. Stereo is Alpine headunit, 200W amplifier, 6X9 rear speakers, kick panel’s with speakers.
