First fire-up of the 440" W2 Stroker small block

The thermal barrier keeps heat in the chamber and allows the head and the motor to run a little cooler, by transferring less exhaust/combustion heat into the coolant. I just visited the Huge Seimens turbine engine plant in Charlotte and noticed all the exhaust fins on the combined cycle generator turbines are cetamic coated. Porsche does the same coating to their production heads that I did here so there must be some benefit to it. I plan to drive this one a lot and I'm making a lot of performance and handling upgrades to it.
