Hellcat, its for real..

rumor that i've heard is there is going to be a new lil' red express coming out ;)

I'm really torn on this. I love the old Power wagons. The Warlocks and the Lil' red express were among my favorites.

It'll be neat to see how they do a LR Express on the new Rams. But right now it's really hard to see the newer Ram's with smokestacks and a stepside bed.

But maybe that's me, as I have a soft spot for 1970's and early 80's dodge trucks.

Yeah even my dad is talking about selling one of his Hemi cars to buy the new Hellcat challenger, I am trying to talk him out of that idea unless I buy the hemi car for myself! But he has 4 Hemi cars and I am sure the Hellcat would look great in his garage!

Your dad has not one, two, or three ... but four Hemi cars?? Do tell.
Cant throw a tidbit like that out there without giving us the scoop.

4-doors do suck on a name like Charger.
But they get AWD, more top speed, quicker 0-60 than the Challenger.

I own a Challenger, but auto-makers are in the business to make money.
I bet they sell 500 Chargers to every Challenger if not more.

Wrong, no allwheel drive on the Charger!
Challenger is NHRA certified 10.88 on street tires. Charger is NHRA certified at 11.20 on street tires. Charger is the fastest four door on earth at 204mph. I have read on the lxforums.com that it has gone 208mph.

I traded my 68 383 Formula S for my SRT. 2 years without a single regret! If i could afford a Hellcat Charger i would be allover it in a flash!

Original owner didnt use the ticket on mine for the SRT Experience so i took advantage and got to drive all the new 2012 6.4 SRT8's. That was a blast!!! I will tell you the Charger handled the 2.5 mile road course much better than the Yellow Jackets and the 300. But, that Jeep though!!!!! That thing is a straight up beast being allwheel drive. Just couldnt wrap my head around driving a SUV at high speed around corners. Totally nuts!!!!

I absolutely love my hooptie. Its the SRT below! Couldnt drive it on the track that day but have taken it to other road courses. Garranteed to blow the doors off those 6.4 hemis :) ..

Been 12.80's on drag radials spinning to the 60ft.

Btw, the Hellcat Charger will be available sometime in February 2015. Get in line and expect to pay $20,000 over the $63,000 sticker price.

Im just not a fan of the new portly body sizes, even at over 700 hp. guess I'm just stuck in the past.

Who's going to drop one in a Dart (old OR new?) Thats suicide.

I know someone who has ordered a challenger hellcat.
pretty big deal since we're so far away from you guys.
I can not wait to go for a ride in it.
We have some quite strict car laws here (Not as bad as Australia though) But emissions aren't really a big deal. I imagine just by removing the cats and some other anti polution BS it would pick up a few numbers no trouble at all.

oh yeah, the 707HP is from only 11 psi boost. Imagine what it could do at 14 psi (1BAR).

Heck, those two 500hp turbocharged slant sixes run TWICE that.. 28 pounds..

Wonder how long that Hemi would last under those conditions???

As fast as that Charger and Challenger Hellcat may be, neither of them has turned in a timed run as fast as this slant six-powered Valiant...

I will let you know! Several of my lx club members have picked up their Hellcats. When they get the slicks and drag radials put on and the track opens after January 1st there should be some easy 10.60s laid down. Gotta remember though, they weigh 1000+ pounds more than your a body and can carve corners like a fresh honed pocket knife not to mention you cruise in the lap of luxury. Apples to Oranges my friend!

BTW, the first has met a early end!

:burnout:
I drive that road all the time, it is a fun stretch of twisties. Over correcting is easy to do in the new ones, my wife's SRT Superbee was way tighter than I imagined it would be. When she got the car, I made her take the traction control off and drift the wet streets of a new neighborhood to build confidence. We try to do recurrent drifting when possible to keep the feel. Now she can drive the S##t out of that car and I imagine there will be a Hellcat upgrade in a couple years.

"can carve corners like a fresh honed pocket knife"

LOL!
right... and, for only an extra $45,000.00... lol!!

nice....I see that car has the problomatic sun roof that was the source of a last minute design change, seems they were cracking under torque of the big hemi. Too bad, trees are tough.
