First fire-up of the 440" W2 Stroker small block

The pick up tube was close but adequate, I don't remember the casting number but I probably have a pic we can get it off of. Yes the lower valve cover bolt holes (all three) are wet, whicheans if you want to set the hot lash.....

Gonna try to anchor a shallow set screw i there and hopefully still have enough threads to tighten down the covers.

I don't remember the coating but my buddy Mark is a specialist and I'd remember the name of the coatings if I heard it. Apparently it's all in the curing and the surface preparation and how the coating is applied.

The last hurdle is to stick build a decent sized set of headers in the car for it, I can say without any hesitation that Stephen Daurity is the right guy for the job, his fabrication skills are amazing and beyond my comprehension!
