I would say correct! I have a cd parts book for 1966 and the air cleaners (covers) are all different part numbers and are divided by" with CAP and without CAP". I have a parts interchange book and the 1966 carbs, intakes, and distributors listed are all different part numbers for CAP or w/o CAP. I didn't notice a difference in part numbers in early 1965. Your parts book was from May of 65. Was that the start of the 1966 model year? The CAP program started in 1966 obviously. tmm
