Kaleb Kelley '73 Scamp!

Hey guys!
My name's Kaleb Kelley. I believe this is my second "Welcome Wagon" post. I started this when I first bought my '73 Scamp and then completely forgot about it while suffering through months of body shop jail and the daily routine getting in the way.

I bought the car early fall of 2013 as an original 75k mile slant-6/904 car from Hawaii. The former owner had spent some cash rebuilding the motor and putting a big cam, Offy intake, etc. on it. It was peppy for a slant-6, but the high years wouldn't let it get out of its own way. I daily drove it for a couple of months and put over 2,500 miles on it, until I blew a ring. I was running it hard and foolishly like a college kid does. After Christmas, me and my dad decided to put the old '71 340 from his '72 Satellite in it, but once we got the motor out, he gave me the idea of painting the engine bay while we were there. There was also some rust popping up by the rear window. From there on, I got into the, "While I'm here why don't I," mindset... A family friend owned a body shop near me and they were slow right then... This was March of 2013. I took the car in and they got started quick, and then it stalled out. The car sat for a couple of months with no progress. Last week, I FINALLY got the car home.

I plan on giving the car a mild ProTouring setup. I'm still a cheap college kid, so I can't go too crazy. I run an instagram page with a half a million followers that love classic cars, so I made a few deals to get me some parts I normally couldn't afford. Holley Performance, Hotchkis, and Boze Forged have been a huge help. Holley helped me get a Terminator EFI for my car, Hotchkis gave me a TVS system, and Boze Forged is cutting me a set of their 17" ProTouring wheels once I'm ready. I'm also planning on doing disc brakes in the front and eventually all around. My budget is shot and I don't need to get a bigger loan that I already have, so I'm waiting on that. I really love the community of A-body freaks on here. I plan to try to update a bit on here, but I often forget. I'll be posting updates on BangShift.com as well.
I hope you guys like the direction I'm going with the build. I have yet to get my rendering updated, but here's what I have and a few more pictures!
