Kaleb Kelley '73 Scamp!

Wow Riddler. I absolutely love your build. That's what I wish I could do with my car. Unfortunately, I'm not even close to knowledgeable enough to try that, and I don't have the time, funds, or shop space. I'm having to borrow my dad's shop space because I don't have a shop or place of my own yet. I'm not sure what I am going to do with the wheels because of the sizing. I'm not minitubbing or moving the springs in, so it looks like the largest I will fit it 235's all around. This is only the first phase of the car anyways. I have to leave room to improve in the future.

I wish I had more specs on the motor, but I don't. My dad rebuilt it with a friend before I lived in Texas, so I'm not sure. I know it's a '71 340 that he rebuilt and put forged internals in, a big cam, and pretty much replaced everything from the bottom up. The problem with that is that it's been a year and a half since he took it out of his Satellite. I may have to go through it again to make sure everything is good. For the suspension, I'm just installing Hotchkis' Total Vehicle System with the upper control arms, steering rods, strut rods, shocks, leaf springs, etc. I plan on purchasing a new steering box too. I believe the brand I was looking at was Borgeson? Shannon Hudson with the green '69 Valiant that Hotchkis tested a lot of parts on told me that's the one to use. I'm still torn on brakes. I was hoping to do Wilwoods, but I cannot afford it. I'm hoping that I can offer to do some social media work for them in exchange for a discount.
I never realized how expensive this hobby truly is until I started in on my own car. I love seeing what everybody does here and I hope that someday I can go all out and make my Scamp exactly what I want.
