Too bad it's winter if we are lucky price will still be low for summer driving
 
Prices still at $2.50 + range in Las Vegas.Northern Nevada as low as $1.99. Changes daily.
 
I don't understand I was on a driving trip for my job when all of a sudden gas went from $1.70/gal to three dollars a gallon overnight! Now it's a bad thing for it to a go to close to $2.00/gal in a couple of months? Did they hire a which of people overnight so they had to raise gas $1.30 overnight???? I think they just need to adjust their wallets a little bit and settle for less. The Middle East has nothing else to sell except oil and were bringing them to their knees! This is a good thing
 
I paid $1.91 last night on the way home, I only get enuff for one day at a time cause its dropping that fast LOL. It can be shopped around and there is a phone app that has the lowest prices in your area if willing to drive around a little to find em. Its about 30 cents a gallon cheap 4 miles from me but thats an 8 mile round trip, have to do the math to see if its worth it and for me its not unless I was filling both tanks on my truck.
 
I paid $1.88 on the way home tonight at my usual place, kinda wish it would just level off somewhere and STAY there. Almost makes ya think we been getting gouged all this time LOL.

My conspiracy theory is that OPEC has reduced the price of gas as well as US drillers to drive the wildcat frac'rs under. All the loans for the frac'ing operations depended on of a business model that had >$60/bbl oil prices and with them falling under 60, they are losing money and are getting their equipment repo'd already with big oil standing on the sidelines snapping up the surplus. Russia is getting the worst end of this deal as their economy is impacted hugely by oil pricing. I have heard declining prices until mid 2015 (as well as interest rates) . That will make a possible .75c new gas tax on CA drivers a little easier to swallow. Stupid global warming prop we hypocrites passed a few years ago.

X2.........The current prices are a step in the right direction but $2.00 + gas prices are still way to high. The lower gas prices are infusing 375 million dollars per day into the US economy. For once the little man is reaping a benefit. Unless you are an oilfield worker or otherwise connected to the petro industry, this is great development. I don't think Exon Mobile, Shell or BP with be signing up for welfare anytime soon. Come to think of it, they have been on corporate welfare for years.
 
As backwards as it sounds, now would be a good time to buy a small gas sipping car, people would be running out and buying gas guzzlers with cheaper gas, I work at a GM plant building big gas guzzling SUVs and sales are way up. With the good mileage cars not selling so well the prices would be much easier on the wallet so you save there, you save even more with cheap gas, going farther and cheaper so you clean up 3 ways, less for the vehicle, cheaper gas and go farther on a gallon, save, save and ....save.

I could just move closer to work and accomplish two of em, saving 40+ percent on gas now and could almost double that not having to drive 50 miles round trip, move AND buy a small car........WOW big time savings then !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We all know thats gonna happen but for now its here, its real and best to take advantage of it as best we can. Any tips, ideas on how best to utilize the savings ???? Hell I have just been thinking of the gas pump, Im sure others are saving on home heating prices as well and happy for them too.
 
I think they are trying to hurt Russia because of all the crap they have done over there lately and this is their way of doing it without military action. As far as diesel dropping below or close to gas prices, it aint going to happen till spring due to the heating oil and the fact that the truckers have to run the trucks at night to keep warm. I know, I spent 30 years doing it. AND, I believe that they something will be in the works like this or something like this to get back at North Korea without causing another Korean war after what they did about the Sony hack job. You can cripple a country with crap like this.
 
Paid $1.87 tonite, I only buy enuff for one or two days cause it will be lower the next time. These are the full retail prices I mention, no discounts and those really come in handy but can only use mine once a month or so, usually just 10 cents a gallon off. It has dropped 4 cents in 3 days just at my usual place.
 
The one place near me had diesel for $2.69 and had to look twice to see if my eye's were deceiving me.
 
The one thing that really puzzles me is that they say since people are spending less for gas to run around and buy xmas presents they are spending more on stuff they really don't need ever hear of not spending and save $$$ for a change

be interesting to see when the fracking stops , "due to the low prices", if the earthquakes around here stop. about half of what we hear is the dems(read, jackasses) holloring about the fracking causing earthquakes. a lot of the time we have 3-4 a night. most of them artn`t felt, but a few have had some destruction to them.

The west side of Dallas has had about 15 in the last couple months, theres no fracking goin on over there. The northwest side of Fort Worth had a rash of em earlier this year and late last year, 30-40 ish with lots of fracking goin on there, they shut down a waste water site for drilling and they stopped......hmmmmm suspicious !!! The ones in Dallas are all in almost the exact same spot, there is a fault line that runs really close to those.
 
Worries me. They have held the supply side tight for over 40 years to drive up price and now they have a banana that left the bunch? Who is it? My bet it is terrorist/war funding states! You can be sure ISiS controlled oil facilities are selling their output to the open market.
