Hi Y'all,

We went driving around in the family truckster looking at Christmas lights the other evening, lots of cool displays that people worked hard on, but one thing that strikes me is the LED Christmas lights. I really love the color of the incadescent bulbs, even the colored incadescent bulbs. I dont care for the LED the blues and purples hurt my eyes to look at them, even the led warm light colored ones look fake. Am i just getting old to where i dont like the color spectrum of the leds? They look so cold and fake compared to the old timey incadescent bulbs.

Ah yes, LED Christmas lights, they'll last forever and be last set you need to buy .

But they may be the first you trash after the first season if your the show house on your block.

I agree, I have the big old colored ones on my house, can be a pain when they
burn out or easily break when handing them or hanging them...but I still like them the best and it's worth the extra hassle :glasses7:

I agree, the led's don't look right to me either. Also the colors of Christmas ornaments are "off," and made of cheap plastic. I guess the Chinese can't quite grasp what Christmas is supposed to look like.

Personally, I really like the LED bulbs. One nice thing about them is that your electric bill won't hardly even notice that they were on.

I find that the LED lights are OK as long as 2 things are not done. ALL "blue" LEDs look like ****, I don't care where you put them, AND the all "white" LEDs aren't true "white OR clear in this case lights, they look horrid.....

The color ones that are multi-color are OK, BUT do NOT mix the incandescent with the LEDs, then both defeat the purpose of what your trying to achieve!

I myself, like the old mini bulbs, still use them, easier on the eyes, AND if any one has LEDs, when you kill the power to the lights? They still "glow" to a very low extent. don't understand it, BUT the mini bulb strings are still cheap and reliable IF stored correctly, I have yet to have stored ones fail me on putting them up, or getting them ready!
