any surprise charges (duties /taxes) looking to get the 526 Rad 209.00 plus 65.00 shipping. Just don't want a surprise when it shows up.
thanks

Depends how its sent...UPS/FedEx...be prepared for a holdup at your door. USPS/CanPost probably charge you duty and taxes....generally, anything over $25 gets a charge.

...........Canada Post now charges PST, GST + a handling charge now.......the hc is whatever they feel the need to charge that day........oh ya and if they think its under valued they charge the taxes on their new evaluation......I know that for a fact.......kim......

I am just curious. I frequently hear about extra charges, taxes, duty, whatever on stuff shipped from here to Canada, but I've bought quite a few things from Canada myself through the years and never had that happen. Was I just lucky or does that only happen one way? Really kinda stupid since we're all on the same hunk of dirt.

I believe it's a one way street. I've never been charged anything either.

Ask Steve about the tach he bought.

Well that's just stupid. That proves it's all about money. Same hunk of dirt should = the same rate it costs to ship to the lower 48, up to and including Mexico, Central and South America, IMO. What other charges besides ait mail in some cases should there be? Nuthin.
