My 71 Duster Project

Thank you and I am glad that my restoration was able to light a fire! Let me know if you need any help or have questions for your build. Yes, I mostly used a DA sander for all the body work and rust removal. Once everything was done I used foam blocks from Eastwood to do the final sanding. I only used the needle gun on the floor pan and undercoating and then hand sanded everything after the needle gun work was done. I did not have access to a sand blaster otherwise I would have went that route. Hope that helps. I will check out the thread a little later!
Hi Ken,

just finished reading the whole thread, nice job!

I started my Duster last summer (http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/showthread.php?t=283464),
mainly I've been collecting missing parts so far. I'll have to post an update
soon, especially now inspired again by your thread :)

Is it really so that you have used only DA sander and
needle gun for rust and paint removal? I've used a lot sand blasting
in my previous project (67 Sport Fury) and really hate the sand going
all over the place. I have the DA sander as well, but have not
used it too much. Perhaps I need to get that needle gun too.
Is there some special method using those, e.g. first with needle
gun and then smooth out with some certain grit with the sander or something?

thanks,

JP
