What Are You Doing To/With Your Car Today?

installed the exhaust (3 inch) installed the HEI and fired it up. 1st time it has ran since I bought it. been working on it for a year  let it run about an hour and no leaks or funny noises.

Nice, work, indeed!

Finally got a chance to do a little more mockup work on modifying the cheetah shifter with a Hurst Pistol Grip handle into a factory console housing. I like the way it sits and feels! Kinda gives it the feel and look of a 4-speed setup.

Now to make it all pretty...

OH hell yeah, rock on, man, cars just cant be built without some good tunes blasting away. Glad to see the same ideas I have about the same shifter mounted on a floor console but Im gonna have to file it under the "winter projects" list, lots of em.
I see you insulated the floor, another winter project for me as well as heat an defrost, I will have to use an after market set-up for that. My buddy that restores/builds classics and street cruisers fat mats EVERYTHING and lots of it, buys rolls and rolls and rolls of it.

Not today but yesterday, while the weather was awesome, took my fish for a drive.
Premium grade ethanol free is down to 3.08 per gallon. Filled 'er up. Then to a grocery store with lots of extra parking lot to let the grand daughter drive it some. Shes 15 and very new to the drivers seat. I learned something too... A failing master cylinder, bypassing, fading pedal and all, is perfect for this. Few opportunities for her to hit the throttle. Dancing on that brake pedal, learning to generate and have brakes long before they're needed. Never hit a curb. She agreed there will be plenty of throttle use when we get into the streets ( I gota fix the brakes ).
I'm sure everyone will agree stopping is more important than going.
She loved every minute of it regardless. Got her "selfies" too. :)
Happy moparing

i'm taking sassy out for a drive on this nice day then it's in the shop for extra breathers on the valve cover and a set of add a leafs to raise the rear a little.

Trial fitted a few interior parts, gonna have to find some arm rest now and get them dialed in and a hole for window crank handle but ........ dont have the window regulators as of yet, thats gonna be NO fun. Im debating weather or not to do the door vents in carbon fiber as well, I made matching defrost vents in aluminum also. Also I am thinking of spacing the big Mopar logo out about 1/2 inch and putting some neon rope lighting behind it and tie into the dome lights.
Plenty more to come !!!

Passenger side door panel installed today, keep trying to get decent lighting in there to catch the detail of the carbon fiber. Next up is to fab up a cover under the steering column that "hides" the blinker switch wiring unless some kind of clever idea pops into my head on a better way to do it. Definately gonna have to scrounge up some arm rest now and have no idea what they supposed to look like so I guess I gotta scour some old threads to try and find pics.

Spent the morning shoveling my way to the garage to keep working on the interior restoration project :pale: More snow on the way with cold temps :banghead:

Dave,

Over the last few days: pulled the engine, replaced the freeze plugs. Did a little paint work while the engine was out. For some reason we couldn't get the right angle to get the engine back in so we had to drop the tranny, mount the engine, then hook it back up. Of course every bolt we were looking for to put back in had disappeared. Mostly hooked back up. Need to rehang the makeshift exhaust the previous owner put on until we get a new one and should be back on the road on Monday.

Got my suspension all back together today. I have not been able to set it on the ground yet to check ride height. That will be tomorrows project. Sadly I think the larger diameter torsion bars are going to give me the dreaded rattle against the headers. I hope I dont have to beat up a set of TTI headers.

Drove the 'Cuda to the body shop for some minor body work. 29 degrees and it fired right up after not running for 6 weeks!

Pa karp

What will I do today??? I will go in the heated shop soon and stare at it a little but, then sit inside and slam through the gears while making 340 high revvvving engine sounds lmao :burnout:

Gonna move it closer to the garage door so I can get my Atv with plow out easier .rrrrrr
