Drag Racing is Dying

Our local tracks are 1/8 mile! Regular program doesn't have a lot of spectators, but it does have alot of participants. Including junior dragster. I've seen alot of these guys and girls come up, and start bracket racing. They are deadly on the tree. Friday night grudge draws quite a few people. But, once a month Street car shootout. Heads up, No time on request draws a big crowd. Stands are full tents set up, grills smoking. Someone mentioned they refuse to go see a eighth mile race. I don't understand that. I love them both! Closest quarter mile track is a couple hours. Eighth mile track is twenty minutes. Our track is also home to the Door slammer nationals. Can't be that bad.
