My cousin needed to transport his 440 short block from his house to the garage we're assembling it at and neither of us has a truck... we both have Jeeps but it's a PITA to "lower" an engine into an SUV. So I got the brilliant idea of unbolting the trunk lid from my Duster and just hauling the lump in the back of that.
