Not sure where to start. Ok I've got a 66' 270 with and Automatic Transmission, Just rebuilt the 225 with a Clifford Performance Rebuild, and the Dual Weber 38' intake, and headers. Having trouble converting the Rod style throttle to a cable. The peddle sticks/hangs up, if I push down too hard on it sometimes it will pop off the old rod inside. Also I don't believe I'm getting a full peddle range. Any ideas what I can Do.

i know you are trying to get answers to an issue, but i would like to suggest your next project be to put a dual res. master cylinder in before you enjoy the extra power too much. Those orig ones are super dangerous. I hope you find the answers you need.
Good luck.

I would suggest a 67 up hanging pedal from a A body and remove the rod set up and just use cable all the way. Or the 64-66 V8 A body cars have a floor mount pedal with a cable set up. A 63-66 B body pedal and cable can be used also with a bit of work. New holes for pedal mounting will need drilled. I used the B body set up from a 65 Belvedere in my 64 Dart.

I see you have a auto trans. You can get a pedal, cable and cable kickdown for the trans from Lokar also.

I've dealt with that same set-up a cable is really the only way to save yourself the headache. (Lokar or the like) Good luck!

That is what I did with my weber setup. Newer Abody pedal and lokar cable.

Here are some pics. I'm running a re-jetted 32/36 right now...but have a 38 on the way. So if you know of anyone need a 32/36...let me know. It's in the forsale section.
