can someone tell me if this is the correct Mopar oil filter for my 69 225 slant 6 engine. part # 4452890. This is what I come up with but not sure. Thanks,Bill

I guess nobody runs Mopar oil filters on a slant 6. I confirmed the oil filter with Summit.

I just saw your post, sorry for such a slow answer!
The performance filter that you have the number will work just fine, but a 5281090 will do the job also at 1/2 the price. If your not racing, I wouldn't worry about the the performance filter.
The best thing is, Wal-mart sells these things now, as well as most parts stores .

The picture you posted is a short filter, will not work on his slant.

I understand it's short, it will work. It will screw on, it will seal, it will be fine.
You really want to freak out, a 4105409 will work also. Looks odd, but it works great.
Used both on my slant.
I've been dealing with mopar parts for a loooooooong time.
gunbunny, what is the difference between the 4452890 and the 5281090. both are short and the 4452890 will not screw on. I have 3 sitting on the work bench right now. The only good thing is that they will fit the 360 in the Dart Sport so I am not out anything but the long tube on my engine wouldn't allow the 4452890 to go on. it wasn't deep enough. I went with tall Wix filter.

Does that filter have a built in standpipe? Not the same as anti-drain back valve. If you have a standpipe on the filter adapter, than it is probably OK to run. My /6 standpipe is long gone. I run the Wix 51806 with the built in standpipe. Instant oil to the bearings and my /6 doesn't tick on start up. My 2cents.

The major difference is that the performance filters internally have taller media and have more pleats in filter media. They also do away with the top by-pass valve and use a dome valve instead. That allows the media to be a little taller.
Not sure why the filter wont screw on, they go right on my 74 without issue. I'll have to look into that. Could be that your adapter is longer than mine.
