That's a lot better than a tree!! lol Been doing so much with so little for so long, can now practically do anything with almost nothing!! lol I'm sure a few of us have done it "the hard way"

Heck, I'm envious of how much space you've got there. - But I imagine I'd need some more walls to keep the cold and VARMINTS out. You're pretty close to where I hear 'Momo' hangs out!

I love it!! Old School Style!!

Did mine in my driveway, but it's Aggregate and rough as heck moving the hoist around.

ever have the hoist roll down the drive to the street? or do ya always work uphill LOL ya lucky guys with concrete!!!!

Yeah, it's good to have concrete, but I had to do it outside...in July...and it was HOT!!!! LOL :glasses7:

I love your helper bar...that thing is huge!!

My first engine swap was using a front end loader on a farm tractor with leaky seals, in the grass. THAT was interesting! I've acquired better equipment since that motor change in 1964!

I lifted my 65 Mopar big block & tranny w/ just a come-along from a beam I had installed when I built my garage in Atlanta (3 2"x12" pine bolted, 14' span). If your roof can't hold that load, it would surely collapse when you get 6" of snow. You have lots of sheltered space and plenty of light. Nice conditions w/ a low winter sun and no wind.

Chain fall and a huge Elm tree.....at least it was summer.

problem here in Missouri is we're TOO close to Kansas. wind blows there ALL the time!!! LOL the shed is great in summer, but here in winter No Bueno on cold day. during winter when its warming, the wind blows out of sw or w 40-50 mph! by next winter ( I will add on a n enclosed section to rear big enough to get one car in and have area I can tear down an engine without dirt blowing in it!! LOL anyone local members that like to put up pole buildings can show up next fall!!!!! LOL

I should have took some pics of hooking the 904 to the already installed engine in the 63 dart other day. I always do them together but didn't work out that way. I raised the tailshaft up high as I could and wired it there with bailing wire. then took rock bar and block and raised the front up, blocked it, THEN I could roll the floor jack under it and go from there>> LOL
