I have no idea what made it natural for me to order from Jegs as a default. When I was ready to order an exhaust kit the name Jegs just seemed to just pop into my brain instantly.

I have a friend who says summit treats him real good and I have been happy with Jegs.

Who do you guys out there order from and is there any advantages that one has over the other?

Both have served me well with no issues from them.
I find Summit's web site easy to search and find parts. So hence, I end up ordering from Summit.

I prefer Summit's website also. Have purchased from both. Ill continue to do so until customer service makes me do otherwise. Until then, I buy from whoever sells the cheapest. For the exact same part of course. I've read that some people are recently less satisfied with Jegs shipping policies as they have changed them in the past year. I agree with many others who feel that Summit gets shipping done pretty quick. I appreciate that these two companies create competition that we get to benefit from.

I buy from both and I've never had any big issues with either. When I ordered a rear disc brake kit for our Charger they sent me one without an e-brake but their eBay ad had it listed as having one. They had made a mistake when they wrote the item description. The e-brake equipped version was a few hundred dollars higher.

When I called them up they said to send it back to them (on their dime) and they'd send me the one I wanted at no additional cost. They were true to their word and they ate the fees. I'm sure that they took a loss on that sale but now they get the majority of my business.

AS far as the speed of shipping goes, it depends on where you are at in relationship to either one's warehouses. For me JEGS is often 1 day sooner arrival.

SUMMIT!!! Hands down customer service, and usually have my items the next day.

Their return (defective parts) is awesome, if you get something damaged, or not functioning properly they will send out another with a return label for the one you have.

BUT, on a side not Rani, you did good on the exhaust because the kit the Summit sells has the rolled lip/seam mufflers, and the Jeg's kit has the welded mufflers.

Did you order the pipe kit and then order the mufflers separate. You can save ten bucks that way. Was it for an A body?

Yes, the shipping is a problem with Jeg's, unless you specify UP FRONT how you want it shipped.

They started using USPS for some items, which causes a huge problem for me, as I do not get mail delivery in my area, it all goes to the PO. By the same token UPS doesn't ship to a PO Box so I need to give them my street address.

It causes many headaches for me when ordering stuff online, because I don't know how a company is going to ship.

I ordered them together and it was the kit for 249. .....it came fed ex and I ordered on Friday and It was here that following Monday. which was way lightning fast. It was the kit for an A-body, I originally ordered for a 70 swinger but in the last week I traded my Cadillac for a Gold duster so I am probably going to use it on the duster now and get another one later for the swinger.

I did notice that when I order small stuff it comes USPS which takes longer because I live in what is considered a rural area. I just ordered some pressure plate bolts and they did take awhile to get here via USPS. but I am patient, sure a lot faster than anything I will find locally

Coulda been 239.00, lol. When I ordered mine I got to looking and discovered if I ordered them separate I saved 10 bucks, doesn't make sense, but that's the deal.

that is good to know because I have a few mopars round back so I am going to be doing this rodeo a lot more so next time I will pay attention to that for sure

i too have purchased from both jegs and summit. i get both their catalogs in the mail and can't really say anything negative about jegs. however, i have purchased more from summit because they are in ohio and i live in pittsburgh and i usually get their stuff in one to two days. jegs does not have as many parts for mopars as summit does. jegs appears to be primarily chevy with almost as much for ford with chrysler being pretty far behind. if you pick out any part like headers, suspension, exhaust for a particular mopar, you will see that summit has more choices than jegs. i just bought a holley 750 dp with mechanical secondaries and summit was about $20 cheaper than jegs. summit also has more cooker and vintiques mopar wheels than jegs.

Customer service /website :Summit. When I ordered the A body mandrel bent exhaust, went with Jegs ( 50.00 cheaper,at the time) Strange pricing, at times.

Both have good customer service/return policy...I usually shop with Summit, parts get shipped to SoCal within 2 days from their Nevada location...

summit all the time for me. their website is much more user friendly and their return policy rules. I had a tiny blemish on one of my torque thrust wheels, I sent them a picture of it , they offered to replace the wheel or give me 100 dollar credit, so I bought more stuff.

Summit all the way. I have had no issue with getting things from them, especially up here in Canada. Just ordered a few things from them actually.

wow interesting results here ...I was expecting more of a 50/50 feedback.

Guess I will have to try summit next time I have an order ready for the next car.

I don't know if Jeg's does, but Summit will price match, if you find something cheaper elsewhere and can show proof, Summit will match it.

Summit all the way , super customer service as ive purchased manly alot of engine equipment, You know how much every thing is including shipping before purchasing aswell as more on offer.Get the catalogs sent out which make great reading in the little office(Toilet) !

Usually buy from Jegs these days...no sales tax ...Gotta pay 8.125 Nevada sales tax on Summit....only order summit if I absolutely need it the next day.

I've bought parts from Summit and Jegs and found them equally good to deal with. I'm never in a big hurry for my parts so no issues with lead times.

One comment I want to add - there are maybe a couple of companies up here in Canada that have been good (not painful) to deal with, but for the most part Canadian businesses either have next to no Mopar stuff, or can't be bothered to even return a phone call. I've dealt with numerous American vendors (often based on recommendations from FABO members) and am continuously impressed with how all of them value my business and provide incredible service. I live close to the border so I have everything shipped to a mail box in Washington, often with free shipping to the lower 48. Couldn't be easier.

Exchange rate is painful right now (21%), but with free trade it's something I can live with. The service and quality is well worth it.

Jegs will price match. A few years ago I was at the Mopar Nationals and wanted to buy an 8.25 sure grip unit. Mancini had them for $279 show special and listed in their flyer for the show but had ran out of stock at the show. I took the flyer to Jegs and they honored Mancini's price. I get fast delivery from both so I have no preference.

I've been using Summit for years.

Jeggs just doesn't appeal to me....

I use Jegs mostly as I'm not too far from the Columbus showroom.
I've bought from both and can say Summit and Jegs both
have given me excellent service, it boils down to price.
I just bought PUI seat buns from Jegs as they price matched Summit
and beat them by $10.00 each plus shipped them for to my door for free.
Jegs smoked Summits butt this go round.:burnout:

Summit hands down, there web site is much more user friendly.
One time I ordered on Friday at 5:00 pm the parts were at my door by noon on Saturday.
Customer service is awesome, I don't even bother looking at Jeg's no more.
I easily spend $10K+ a year there.
