Drag Racing is Dying

Finally...:burnout::burnout:I don't see bracket racing dying much.Go to Bandimere in Morrison,Colorado any weekend in the summer and you will see a lot of partisipation but most of the spectators are crew and friends of the racers. On the other hand I think Professional Drag Racing is in a little trouble. It has priced it self out of the market for the most part. When John Force has to scramble for sponsorship and cut budgets in order to race things are a little shakey. I don't agree with those that say the cars need to look like they did in the 70's and 80's but do think something needs to be done about $ 60,000 bodies and $ 50,0000 blowers so more can afford to be competitive. Right now if it weren't for Force and Shumacher the fuel classes would be fielding 8 car fields at best.I don't pretend to have all the answers but it makes me sad to see a sport I care about in this shape.:sad9:

Yes, it boring to set in the grand stands watching Bracket Racing. BECAUSE I WANT TO BE DOWN THERE COMPETING!!!!

I remember the days when the grand stands intimidated me way more, then the Guy/Gal in in the other lane!:???: :D
