Can some tell me what size fuses is use for a 72 Demon .... Brake, instrument, Dome, tail. ect. my fuse block looks like it used to show what was what, but through the years its has been scuffed up too much by removing fuses.
I seem to have a problem with by brake lights ... I don't have power on the power side of the fuse box ....BUT I have power on the other side when the Key is on and none on either side when key is off. I know It should have power when key is off. :banghead: I hate electrical problems. tail lights work turn signals work, flashers do not work ( new flasher) looks like dome light was blown and instrument fuse .......not sure if this all happened at same time ......... I can jump to battery to brake switch and brake light work. any input is appreciated driving me crazy.

Correct that the brake light switch should be always powered (why they can run your battery down if stuck). Thus the supply is a simple circuit, thru the fusebox. Did you try changing the fuse? They can look OK, but the wire be melted right by the cap. I expect much corrosion in IN, so clean and use di-electric grease. As to value, look at photos of pristine fuse boxes (Google Images, ebay). I put one from an 80's motorhome in my 65. Looked very similar but had a few different labels. Most lamp circuits spec a 5 or 10 A fuse, as I recall. The 20 or 30 A ones are for motor loads (blower, ...).

Thanks Guys ...... I figured out the problem ......I was the main problem, I haven't had to work on something like this in a Looooong time. I was looking at the fuse that said BRAKE ....well duh, thats for the brakes not the brake lamps. I sat down with a Mopar friend and we went over the wiring diagram as soon as he started following the wires an explaining different stuff it hit me like a hammer on the head that I was looking in ALL the wrong places........I replaced the fuse marked DOME ( I believe that was it ) and I had brake lights. All that trouble over a fuse. Lesson learned. I will be looking to get a shop manual ... thanks for all the help. JOHN

I have a fuse block like that on my 73 Dart. All I can read is 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 nothing else. as you can see in my attachment. I copyed your picture and tryed to blow it up, So I could read the labeling. No luck. Could you take another picture from the top so I can read what all the fuses go to. And send it to me. Or just post it here and i'll keep checking back.:coffee2:
