American sniper

heard about it in church the other day
(pastor was making a reference to liberals who oppose the movie but are ok with murdering unborn babies)
I wouldn't mind seeing it, but with these little rascals running around I think it wont be until its out on VHS

It's an amazing story that's for sure. I thought the movie was good but it could have been better. I have seen it twice and was hoping it would be much better the second time but it wasn't. It's still a movie worth seeing though.

It was a good movie, but I had one problem with it. With a big Hollywood production like this, you would think they could at least find an actual baby and not have to use an obvious doll...

Yeah, that's the biggest complaint I've heard. They had two real babies lined up. One got sick and the other was a no-show from what I've read about it.

Frankly I couldn't care less if they used a little green alien the movie was great and even better if it p-zzes off the liberals.

Just curious here. I haven't watched a war movie - theater or tv - since Born on the 4th of July. Why would this movie piss off liberals? I've only heard good things about it.

Because according to Michael Moore "snipers are cowards"

I also read a Rolling Stones article online that was freakin ridiculous.

Left wingers have gone as far as saying that Chris Kyle wasn't a hero but rather a psychopath.

Too many people confuse psychopath with warrior. In the movie he made it clear that he only killed to save the lives of his men. He said he can answer for ever kill. I may have also heard that he said he enjoyed it. This is what throws people off. I have never taken a human life and never want so I can't offer much insight into that. People think since he doesn't show a ton of remorse that he is a psychopath. What they fail to see is that he does actually have feelings. Like with the young kid and his wife and kids. Psychopaths have no feelings, they have no remorse for anything, they aren't capable of loving someone and they do anything and everything they possibly can to benifit themselves. Most psychopaths wear a suit to work not a bullet proof vest!

me and the woman saw it, GREAT movie, its a shame such an honorable man was killed the way he was, our country could use more people as dedicated as he was

x2, snipers undergo the most rigorous training of any military, and to say chris kyle was a psychopath is just obsured

Gotta love it when these supposedly tolerant individuals express such intolerance.

What self absorbed douchebags! Criticizing this guy for his work and patriotism. As if they actually think their accomplishments are on the same level.

Good thing there are folks willing to put their lives on the line so these jokers can express their valuable opinions.

God Bless America!

He's an idiot and one man only. Hardly describes an entire group of people.

Seems to me he mentioned two individuals as well as others that have alluded to him being a psychopath. This does describe a group of people as indicated by the many tweets and comments on facebook as well as articles written by people of that group denigrating or condeming Chris Kyle and those like him.

I know several liberals locally and they all liked the movie a lot. So, no it does not describe a whole segment of people. People either like it or not. Assuming liberals don't like it while conservatives do is stupid at best.

Rob I understand what you're saying. But on the other hand the vast majority, if not all, the ppl who make these comments are liberals. Saying that all liberals are like these ppl would be like saying all car ppl are stuck up pricks like some of the ppl at car shows.

I stated "a group" I didn't say "all" and that qualifies as a "whole segment of people" which isn't stupid just an obvious observation.

75slant6 is right. The majority (all) of the people that I've heard, or read about, ranting are a segment of the liberal group. I can't say I've heard anybody from the "right" that has said anything like what the people on the "left" have said. If I've missed it please show me who.

How do you know that? The news media? Are you gonna say now you believe everything the media says? I understand yalls point, but it's wrong and inaccurate to assume all of a group feels one way based on information from a few in the MSM. That's like saying all conservatives hate black people, which is regularly pointed to in the media, but certainly s far from the truth.

I don't assume either way, you do. So it's not my job to show anything, but it's yours. The burden of proof lies with the complainant.

In my years I find many liberals were combat veterans. I can understand and respect their comments of the ravages of war because they were there. I do not argue with them or with anybody for that matter. Many choose to not own weapons after they are discharged. They see a weapon as a tool that they had to use by taking orders. One that, sadly, was used more than any tool one can own. I have never been a liberal. I consider myself an independent and I choose to live my life without outside interference. The government's job is only to protect the country. Taking a life, or many many lives changes you. And unless you have done it you can't understand. It stays with you forever. I remember taking my dad to see Saving Private Ryan. He cried. American Sniper and The Hurt Locker are perfect examples of a soldiers jobs unfinished. Unfinished as long as your brothers are still out there fighting. Blessed are the peacekeepers. Not people like Michael Moore. But I don't hate him or people like him for what he says and does. Or anyone here on FABO. In fact I come here for the great information. And some of you...for your dry wit and sense of humor.
