I'm working on a rebuilding a 360 motor for my wife's 66 dart. IT has TRW L2405f pistons. A buddy of mine gave me a set of 302 casting SB heads that are redone. My question is will these work well?

The pistons with 60cc heads would be 9.5:1 compression and with 70cc would be 8.5:1. Does anyone know what the cc's are for a 302?

This is a cruiser motor, but I do want it to have some power. Thoughts?

Those heads will choke it down. The runners are tiny whatever you think you may gain from the small increase in compression you will lose in flow

A good head porter can make them work fine. But, by the time you spend all that money you could go with RHS or similar.

They would be a better choice, yes.

If you decide to sell the 302s, I want first shot at a deal.

I'd run the 302 heads. Being that this is a cruiser and not a race car this engine probably won't be turning much past 4000 rpm anyway so you'll gain more torque from the small ports and slightly higher compression.

YES. Had them on a 360 with a solid cam and it was still pulling at 6000 rpm where we had the msd chipped. Combo made ridiculous torque and the big solid cam kept it going.

Hysteric
