Hi, My name is Tim and I'm a life long car guy from a father who was a life long car guy. My project that brought me to this site is a 1964 Barracuda. My folks bought this car new and I remember Dad bringing it home like it was yesterday. He bought it in Feb of 65 and I think it was a demonstrator from the dealership. The great Sites Bros. Plymouth in Kansas City. White with gold interior, 273 with pushbutton trans, AM radio, whitewalls and deluxe wheel covers. $2400 bucks! My folks gave me the car in 1975 with 33k on the odometer. Instead of tearing it up I took great care of the car. In 78 I obtained a 65 273 Commando engine and had it built at the local speed shop. .060 over, Sig Erson cam and a balance job. I went to the Street Machine nationals with the car in 78 and 79. I got married in the car in 81. By 83 my interests had shifted to drag racing cars and the little Cuda was needing front end work, radiator repair and a few other minor repairs that I wasn't interested in at the time, but I loved the car and didn't want to sell it and then wish later I had it back! So I stored the car indoors for the next 30 years! Now I'm putting it back on the road with the changes it needed all along. I've installed new rear springs and a fresh 8.75 posi rearend with 3.23's. New Master Power discs on all four corners. A nice new aluminum radiator along with a vintage air unit. Thinking of buying a crate motor from Indy Cylinder Heads instead of running the high compression 273. That's where I am now. The car is still Cherry inside and out after all these years!
So far my questions have all been answered on this website, it is great to be able to share information.

One of the few "one owner" Barracudas left I bet. Welcome from Denver. Post a few pictures when you have time. Tell us a little more about your plans.

WOW, that is a slick fish you have there. Post more pictures as you go along.

Wow! That's one nice Barracuda! Great story too.

Love the old school Barefoot Gas Pedal. :glasses7:

Great looking car ya got there. From what I have read on here since I joined a year ago, you might to do some research before getting that INDY Cyl. crate motor. Seems quite a few guys here have had trouble with them. I'd hate to see you have that problem with such a good looking old Barracuda. good Luck with which ever you do.

Nice car! I have a 66 barracuda that belonged to my father. 27K mile original car. I live in KC and would like to see your car sometime.

Id be interested in hearing about these Indy Cylinder Head 360 crate motors. The price for the 380hp version is hard to beat. I was thinking of building a stroker 318 with some aluminum heads but can't do it for 4995.
