foose is hacking up another mopar !

-
ya they should just let all these precious time capsule mopars sit in the garages and fields so that the owners "do something with them someday". if you like them all stock then buy them all up and hoard them. otherwise let the rest of the car world have a personality and build what they think is cool. its such a bummer hearing everyone bash a great guy that has more skill then most of us just because his taste is a little different. if it wasnt for guys pushing the boundaries we'd all still be living on a flat earth afraid to fall off the edge if we tried anything new.

To each his own. Me sayying I think foose cars look dumb is not me sayying he does bad work. I think his cars look dumb and I'm sure a lot of guys think my car looks dumb. I don't really care and I doubt foose does. The majority of people here aren't bashing his work they just don't agree with it. Also I'm pretty sure no one wants to see a car sit and rot in a field.

Very well said:cheers::cheers::cheers:

It's great to be different, it's another to disregard what someone wants.

See how well that goes when you put out a proposal, there is agreement, then you totally change course from the original agreed proposal without the other persons affirmation.

They have done restoration style work on Overhaulin'. It's primarily a hot rod/mod show, but, there has been at least one that was a resto deal.

then dont agree to the show. i know it all looks like a surprise but you will never convince me that the owner of the car doesn't sign a release form of some sort. otherwise is grand theft auto and property damage.

I was just stating my opinion, that's all. People do whatever they want with their cars, that's cool with me.

my girlfriend is hoping mad! "do not let him touch my 66 barracuda!"
"ok honey-it's just tv, i won't let him touch it" wow! I thought she was going to start throwing stuff?!
And she's not that kinda gal?
Here's the latest pimpled ride. They shaved everything, put the big pimp wheels on it and colored it a incorrect purple when they said they were going to paint it the original black on blackView attachment 1714788342

i saw that one too, couldn't believe it when they did away with the marker lights!!!

I read all the posts and reply's here, I am not a fan of the purple cuda either, but, keep things in perspective. Custom is custom, I prefer original cars. However, how many cars on this site have cowl induction hoods? All I think of is chevy. Incorrect hood scoops, bumblebee stripes on 67's, rallye wheels on early cars, incorrect paint colors and so on. Remember everyone has an opinion of a perfect car, in my case if it isn't stock and original it isn't right. You like something different that's all well and good. Obviously I would have left it black and not put those stupid wheels on.... but everything could always be changed.

so i got to see this episode last night.. i gotta say i think the car turned out pretty damn nice.

doesn't matter what the husband thought of it because it wasn't his. the wife who's car it is seemed to really love it. i liked the paint scheme. that purple does look right on that body style. the black was pretty boring looking. full RMS suspension will make it fun for her to drive. the int was kept stock and looked very nice.

the wheel size i was fine with but the style isn't for me.

only real question is the motor. it sounded healthy but not sure why that wasn't gone through. from the sounds of the motor i would of wanted something a little more mild and derivable. who knows what really goes on behind the scenes though..

wheels were the worst part of it,totally out of place !!

i thought the silver broke it up nicely. black is over done and all purple would have been too much in my opinion. i wasn't big on the hokey stick stripe either. thats over done too..

Actually I did tell Foose not to put big ugly wheels on Mopars. I met him at Unique Performance right after the Challenger car was aired. Told him he did a 'good' job except for the wheels being too big. Guess he didn't listen.

Well personally I like his stuff, I met him personally before and he is a stand up guy, and at least he keeps his stuff brand correct, its still got Mopar power, in a Mopar,

^^^ Jealous ^^^

Personally,

I would (after 35 +years 3'rd gen in the 'Biz) accept an apprentice position in any one of
His shops.

I would be 'terminated' for insubordination after a year--- meh... no mater.

"a Prophet is only hated in His own Country"...

I do have to say the Lady's Husband looked a little pissed about the color change. I'm painting my 64 that color so I'm a little biased and like it but would like to see what it woulda looked like Black with the Red Hockey Stick.I would let that crew touch my car all they want....then when I got it I would sell the crappy wheels and put some old school wheels and tires on it.

YEAH BUDDY.
Crack those wheels off and sport 'em onto Ebay. Some Monkey would buy them at top dollar. Then peel off that hoakey Hockey Stripe and put something Cool on.
