6.4 is going in........in a 1969

-
It's not a 6.4, just a 5.7 Eagle. With a cam swap it shouldn't have any problem breaking 500 whp with real low boost. I have a Holley HP system to control it. The V3 software has support for the new Hemis.

I am happy for ya, I think it's a good swap in a beautiful body unlike the Dodge of that year... I had to throw that in for all the lovers of ugliness..

Good luck with your version of the sport truck

thanks for the support and Info!!! i made my mounts and had to notch the frame where the alt goes, it fits right about in the middle of the C channel. i could have gone a little lower but didn't want the oil pan any lower. picture is of the Mounts

Very nice! A bit of a coincidence that we're both hemi swapping the C10 platform at the same time. What oil pan are you using? I have a truck pan currently.

my lic. plate will say SRT8GMC

I HOPE TO fire it up this week, lots of little things to do.....

In the past several years I've notice the change of motor choices, not a lot but more than I've seen before, for old '30s and '40s Chevy and Ford Hot Rods moving to Chrysler powered engines instead of the stroked 383 GM motors. Lots of 392 hemis, and 440s showing up in these cars. And an Anglia without a blown Hemi is just, well, and just an Anglia. Same with the Henry Js. So 70BlackFish isn't doing anything wrong. Just different. Don't change the look of your truck. It's perfect the way it looks and sits. And it will surprise every Chevy 'muscle car' owner on the street. Remember to snap a photo of the surprised look of your opponent when you lift up the hood after taking a shellacking. 6.4 Hemi in a truck that weights 600lbs less that the car that motor came out of is a good power to weight ratio. What are you going to do for traction issues?

How could you call this ugly?

Now THAT'S what I'm talking about. I think the Hemi engine is such an icon that it can go into just about anything and look cool. But, there's nothing like a Hemi in a Mopar, especially a Gen3 in an old Mopar. And I LOVE the old Sweptline series. I drove a 440 powered '67 D100 for ten years and if I still had it, I'd be throwing an nice Gen3 into it. Picture looking under the hood of that silver Power Wagon and seeing a Gen3! Ultimate cool! My apologies to the OP, but I just couldn't help myself.

Carry on.....

How could you call this ugly?

I Like it, a little payback for all the guy's stuffing chevys into Mopars....

here is the 6.4 in the truck
