I was recommended by a fellow mopar enthusiast at a local car show to get a quality power alternator. So I did, I emailed the company to get some more info and see if it would fit my application with my march brackets and pulleys, Salesman said it would be a direct fit. So I ordered it.... I mounted the unit and turns out it's half inch back from where it's supposed to be, so the belts don't line up. I called to see if it was the wrong one for my car. salesman told me it was the right one, he told me to remove the water pump spacers and mount the alternator in front of the bracket.... Ok sounds easy but now I would have to cut the spacers on the alternator SMH!!!

It's not a direct fit if it don't fit!!!!!!!

Of course if I can make it fit by machining up some brackets and spacers. If it cost 600 for the dame thing it should have fit! I'm guessing I'm the first to attempt this... They should no what works and what don't before selling a product! Hope this thread helps other ppl interested in this thing.

I'm try my luck a returning this thing

well that really sucks. I was interested in one of those! you should email them these pictures....

Can't you just move it to where the tab towards the radiator is in front of the mounting bracket and then redo the spacers.
It looks like that's about where it wants to be.

600 huh?

Ok, re read it.

I emailed several pictures.... The point I am trying to make is ITS NOT A DIRECT BOLT ON PRODUCT! So if you have a march $600 setup and a QP alternator (actually $400) don't expect it to bolt up with no problem.. Your better off making a bracket set up!

did you end up getting this resolved?

Sorry bud been morning to update the progress on the car but I have a horrible memory. Yes it's all mounted up and wired, I used to alternator spacers cut to fit, some washers and had to order a longer alternator tensioner

Since your engine is so purty, consider using chrome spacers from the drawers at Ace Hardware. Worked for me.

I feel the same way with my TTI headers with the evac. nipples welded in. I ordered the headers from them with the nipples and now you cant get the one way valves screwed on without using 45 and 90 degree elbows, the nipples are too close to the front frame. TTI should obviously be aware of this fitment issue and should not even offer to put them in the end of the header, but hey what do they care now......they got your money.
