No matter which brand you choose, here is my personal opinion.....whatever that's worth. lol
I have seen first hand and read about second hand a good many failures with the gel cell types. IMO, the lead acid type is superior. Specifically, the serviceable type where you can pop the caps off and add electrolyte over time. Maintenance free types SUCK because once they are low on electrolyte, they are toast. There's no saving them.
