8.25 suregrip

Does anyone know if this suregrip unit will accept lower gear ratios like say a 3.55 or 3.91 etc..? I found out that a 2.45 gear ratio is different and will not accept those gear ratios. All I know is that it came out of a Dakota with a 8.25 rear and 27 spline axles. I would be putting it in a 84 Dodge Truck. Thanks

It appears that it will fit for the numerically higher gear sets. The ring gear flange is pretty thick. It is thick so that the ring gear is moved over to make contact with the smaller pinion gears of the lower ratio gear sets. That what it appears to be, but since this is only the internet, it's still a guess.
