I just bought a 70 300 Hurst. In it was this 8 track to tape conversion.

Yup, I remember when they came out. I just upgraded to a cassette player, lol.

I am fixing to INSTALL an 8 track player in my truck. LOL

well if you really want old, there use to be a gizmo so you could use your 4 track tapes in your 8 track player. the 4 tracks did not have a built in idler

i think they used to make FM radios that would plug into the 8 track

Yep, 8 track and cassete both had an FM radio adapter.

Remember the old FM signal amps?
We still use those, because they still work great today. :D
You can pull a good FM station from 100's of miles away, and my Brother uses one on his Honda Interstate because thier anntena's are not all that good for the stock sound system.

Put the cd to cassette adapter in this cassette to 8 track and itll work cd to 8 track. Much better sound than the fm modulators. Pimp ride!

Dig the car, there's a sharp dark brown met one running around here. They look good with the subtle treatment and nice wheels.

On side note, my kid found my casette's and wanted to know what they were. I got" oh ,music on them like mp3?" Lol

Sweet score on the car! Get a good deal? Would love to see more pics :glasses7:

Yea I got it for a good price. It needs work but for a 45 year old car it is pretty good. I will take some picks of it when I get it in the shop and do a post on it. It is -6 and I havnt felt like doing anything outside lol.

Definitely remember the cassette tape adaptor! That 300 is sweet! Can't wait to see more pictures. Congratulations on the find/purchase. Good luck with it.

Love the new ride. I remember the adapters but I think they were a dealer installed option. Not !00% sure on that.

The car is gangsta' for sure!

But that's a nice trailer ya got there!! I had one similar to that years ago but since I was in the Air Force and moved around a lot I sold it. Now I'm searching for another one!

My adapter was a Radio Shack version. Are there yard lines and provisions to put up goal posts on that car? The thing is huge! But, very cool too.

A guy I used to work with had a 300 just like that completely original and beautiful. It was his pride and joy. Nice car!
