Hold on... I just thought of something, this is great marketing, he is creating a demand for what could be considered a "widget" we are setting a higher price point by subscribing! Either way I'm subscribed and will stay that way

This reminds me of a kid I went to school with as a child. Always coming up with this "I got a pet dinosaur for my birthday, but I can't show you." routine. It just screams "Look at me!".

Seriously, who does that???

"Hey, guess what, have something for your car....but I can't tell you what it is.....". If this was real, why wouldn't you keep it to yourself until you have said patent (just a crazy thought).

I bet we will soon see a message, "I need money to get this venture off the ground, please send me 20 bucks and you can be part owner in the Mystery Marvel Super-de-duper Go Fast Part!!".

....My cynical side showing....I'll stop typing now.

The OP could easily say what problem his invention solves or how it helps without telling anyone anything proprietary!!

subscribed because unlike the naysayers I too have come up with something everybody can use
Thats right folks send me 20 dollars and I will show you how to get both richer and smarter than you are now !
 
Whatever it is , if it's good will be copied in a week or two for less than you can make it for. Thus pushing you out of business before you make a dime. Better apply for a patent

The present (2012) average wait time until the USPTO provides us with the results of the Patent Examiner’s first substantive review and examination (average pendency to first office action) of the patent application is about 21 months. The average time it takes to obtain a patent from the patent office at this time is about 32 months or a little under 3 years
