Thought I would pass this on.

generally the .023 wire is for thin sheetmetal. you will have to use gas for that small wire, NO flux wire that small I know of. so therefore, you will have to buy the gas bottle. be sure the welder is set up to take gas. I have a 10 yr old hobart handler like that one. NEVER has feed wire and welded worth squat. surely I just have a lemon, or they would not still be s elling them, or maybe fixed some problem mine has.
a local body shop has a old one like mine. he had problems with his until he run the polarity backwards, tried that with mine, no difference.
I would buy a different welder, and quit fighting mine, but can't justify buying another welder , I can't sell mine to anyone with a clear conscience!!!!!
I had a small lincoiln like the Hobart years back and it welded fine.
