Remove paint on intake manifold

See if there is a powder coater in your area. They have a liquid stripper for when they make mistakes. My powder coater uses a chemical called B 17. It is extremely aggressive on powder, paint, or whatever it touches including human skin but doesn't hurt the piece being stripped.

It's also expensive, and you'd need a lot to soak an intake manifold. :-D I went through a whole gallon trying to take off the factory's 18,000 layers of powder on a brand new Jeep dash last November. What a mess!

If you decide to blast it, just keep your air pressure at 90 psi and you should be all right. Wear goggles when you blow it off afterwards too -- the media gets inside the threaded tower bracket mounting and carb flanges and comes straight at your face (ask me how I know this).
