Is your hot section stainless steel? I would suggest adding flex bellows joining each header to the crossover, the wastegate, and finally the downpipe. Not so much worry with heavier gauge mild steel but with stainless it's necessary. Nice build. It will be very fast!

Looks sweet ! Im going to need a bigger A/R for my T62.

Very sweet. Love the truck, looks a lot like another one I know of...minus the turbo V8, of course.

I did buy flex sections to weld in. Motor will be solid mounted since my turbo ssupport brace is to my frame. I'm by lacrosse wi.

Well I am finishing up my headers with wrap now, then on to the crossover pipe.

Thanks. I have too much room in the engine bay. motor goes off for honing and balancing this week. Should have my hot pipes done on Wednesday and build a new wiring harness. I cant wait to let this thing rip on the street/ track!!!!!

Well the crossover is tacked up finally, but then I ran out of argon in the tig welder..

Cross over is done now. Have the wastegate tacked on. So close to being done. Another roll of wrap is on its way since I ran out.

Subscribed! Looking forward to seeing the finished product.

Do you have any process shots of building your headers? I am decent with TIG and am thinking about doing my own turbo set up once I get my hands on a 360.

Are you going to have room to run an alternator?

-NOT sure I understand WHY you wrapped the headers? Besides to give the mice a place to call home and smell delightful when you fire thee ole girl up......

This a way to keep the engine bay cooler?

What I think about when I see your engine bay... :D

Finally had some time to get a couple things done. Just about ready for tear down, then install my new 360 and a518 trans.

Yes wrapping the headers and any hot pipe helps keep the heat in and thus causing the hot exhaust to speed up and supposed increase flow, it just like having the headers ceramic coated same principle just cheaper lol
