28" Tire to rocker clearance - Duster

With 26" rear tires I have just under 1.5" of clearance between the front of the tire and the wheel opening at the rocker. If I go to a 28" tire, that will leave a scant 1/4" to 3/8" clearance without moving the rear end back - unless I'm missing something.

What kind of clearance do you guys have with 28" tires in that area?

If you 1.5" clearance with 26" tires, you should have 1/2" clearance with 28" tires. I have about 1/2"- 3/4" clearance with 28" tires on mine. I've thought about putting a spacer in the front spring perch so I can go to bigger tires, but I only have about 1/4" of threads left on the front perch studs, and they are the offset ones so I can't change the studs out. With stock perches, you could probably do it fairly easily, but don't want to go too much because of the driveshaft.
