I was never fortunate enough to build/drive a long arm SB in my day, they were only for the rich & famous back then...lol. I know lots of "street" cars these days are capable of some incredible performance, but back then, anything that could run 11's was "seriously" fast, and I still believe that even now.

Only two cars I ever drove caught me off guard.....One L88 427 Camaro, and surprisingly, a well built 455 GTO. Both would have been easy 11.0 cars with a decent suspension & bite, and both were very scary street cars, even on sticky tires.

Get used to you beast and enjoy it. And overall, BE SAFE & HAVE FUN. :thumbrig:

The L88 doesn't surprise me at all, a well built 455 Poncho is a nice surprise. As to the o.p.: Yes, stroked small blocks are fun.
