Whats my car worth

-
12k-14k is ballpark, considering if someone had that money they could choose an E-body over an A body. That being said, you have a very beautiful car.

Thank you. Ive only had it on CL for a few hours and have had a lot of interest...thats why Im wondering if maybe I priced it to low. One guy said he would buy it sight unseen.

It might be a little low, but hard to tell from pics, underhood should be white. If it has solid floors and trunk and paint is nice with out ondo it could be a 16k car but that would be about all.

It's a great car, and looks a lot like mine. Mine isn't an original 340 car and please be sure and check your VIN to make sure it starts with LM 23 (instead of LL23). If it doesn't then it isn't an original 340 car. There are visual cues on the car that would lead me to think it is not, but over 45 years stuff like the trunk lid could have been replaced. In any case I would suggest that you start at a price that would make you happy if you sold it!

Yeah is a real 340. I have build sheet, fender tag, and vin all match. It has been painted...kind of poorly but no rust at all. Interor is almost perfect. New rallye dash and lenses. But none of the gauges work. I believe its the regulator but havent fixed it yet.

Looks about right to me. Nice little car.

A matching #'s 340/4 speed car. Could get you more. I think 15,900 is a better price, but you have to have the right buyer at the right time. If you need to sell it quick, you might want to keep the price low. If not raise it and see what happens. Just my opinion.

like he said, you have to first find the right buyer to even have a sale!!!! looks like ballpark to ne also. when you get into that price range today, people have more choices like E and desirable B bodies.

you stated your firm price, maybe that will weed out out the tire kickers, wanna bes, and murderers. good luck. and remember, " a bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush">????

That's right there on the price IMO! Yours is also the 3rd car I've seen on CL in the past 24 hours that wants to trade for an excavator!!! Go figure!! Good luck with your sale, I would hate to see it go if it were mine!! Geof

good luck with the sale, the scrutiny will be great since your advertising the 340 numbers matching car -- black engine compartment is an issue on a numbers matching car.

also work out the issues you have been posting about.
Why did you not advertise here?

As to the buy it site unseen be wary of all the scams that a CL ad will bring.
if your car is legit & looks as good in person -- you should have a fairly quick sale, Lawrence

Did they put that body side molding on 340 cars?

I've never seen that and a stripe on an original car.

I think it's priced about right. You could probably ask for more, but I'm not sure you'd get it unless you really found the right buyer. I wouldn't go too much lower on it for sure, the "firm" price should take care of that. Looks like a nice car!

A matching #'s 340 4 speed car is huge. People pay a lot of money for those. I would say higher on your price, but there's a few things that people are going to nit pick. Like the blacked out engine compartment, less than perfect paint, chrome, etc. Doesn't change the numbers matching deal, but the folks that are looking for matching #'s cars to pay big money for are going to really pick over the details.

And yeah, list it here? Maybe you won't get your trade, but I bet there's some people here that would be interested in a numbers 340 4-speed.

the more people pay ,, the more they expect. generally. don't be "barn blind". look at all the small (or big things), the buyer will find wrong or not up to his expectations.... he will have cause to be particular if he's paying that much money. and then too, NOT everyone gives a rats *** bout the # match engine...

........ur priced fair ......I would get the rallye gauges working as to me that leads me to believe that there's a wiring problem, and or not a genuine 340 car.........just remember that there is a lot of clones out there and many ppl have been fooled by them........I've never seen a factory 340 car with the body side molding........kim...

There's a real 340 4 speed Swinger local to me that's been for sale for about 1.5 years.

Started at 13K, now 11. Super SUPER solid and built to run.

Only potential issue is it's an original F3/4 green car with black int, repainted black.

seem a little high to me. need corect air cleaner corect valve covers ETC. correct colors intake and brakes are not matching as well. This is a A body after all. maybe someday we will get good money like other mopars but not yet.

so has anyone serious bitten on the price yet? If its a good sale, it won't take long at all. Not sure why you have it on CL though. Put it on Ebay and a 7 day auction, and that will get you a strong sense of what someone is willing to pay for it.

I'm confused by the body side moldings as well. My car had them (318 car) but I've removed them to do somewhat of a 340 clone. The tail stripe is cool - or - the side moldings, but not necessarily both on the same car. At least I've never seen it that way on a 340 car. But your documentation should clarify. Good luck with the sale! I've always liked the white 70 Darts

Not a bad price i think concidering its a numbers matching car. I will have way more in a former slanty 6 bcuda, than i will ever get back making it a V8 4 speed car. But then again i am not building it to sell it anyways.

The afore mentioned things such as the gages not working i think are minor, but to some thats a huge deal. Black painted engine compartment etc.

I'd take it in a heartbeat for that price if i didnt have a wife and kids along with a ton of bills. But thats just me.

Matt
