Wanted a Delorean since high school, others on my current list are a Gremlin(Levi Straus edition would be a plus), Subaru Brat, 72 Toyota Carona Wagon, Mustang II, Vega(can't remember what year but the front looks kindof Camaro-ish)

Dibbons: That is the car, vertical headlights full size for road tripping, room for my ice chest and my 100# black lab! I think that one has 5 lug wheels though, they came both ways. I want front buckets and a four speed, they are around but hard to find. My buddies parents had a brand new one in 63 and they let me drive it. True motoring comfort and luxury in the old-school way! Thanks for the photo!O:)

Corvair. When I was 15 I pumped gas and 3 Corvairs sat in the weeds behind the gas station.

My dad just bought a running (albeit poorly) 65 monsa 4 speed ac car for $200. Hes spent the last 26+ years pining after one and the dream finally became reality!

I hear the electronics in the transmissions on those are problematic and there are way too many electronics throughout the car for me. That plus the hyperdrives need new belts and stabilizer seals every 50k miles. I would go for simple....... that is why I like manual everything, less things to go wrong :D

I admit it. like the kid had back in '66. 55 chevy fiberglass frontend, 327 4speed, it was red/maroon with black roll and tuck interior! bout the only chevy I would really want. but then the mopar buds would ridicule me like the time I had a 67 327 camaro for a parts chaser. LOL
 
There are a BUNCH of cars that I'm perfectly willing to admit that I'd live to own. The bug I mentioned earlier is the only one that most folks woudn't tend to drool over. If I made a list of all the cars I'd readily admit to lusting after it would includeL

I'll piss a few people off with this one.

I'd like to have another Fiat 124 Spyder. Had one. Loved it. Damned thing handled like it was on rails. Four wheel disk brakes never faded when I rode 'em hard, gear box that made canyon carving easy. A top I could just reach over my shoulder and pull up in the blink of an eye.

Got a lot of eyeballing from the Porsche and BWM guys who came to town. No one knew what it was, only that it was European.

Hell, I have another car, now, sitting in the driveway that gets some odd looks from when talk about it. The '02 Hyundai XG350. DOHC 3.5L, with a five speed auto sport stick. The governor is supposed to 125. I've yet to meet the governor, but I can say it's beyond 130. Speedo goes to 150 but I haven't found enough road to get it there. Car gets lower at triple digits, doesn't float, awesome road feel and the gearing in the trans is close enough to make the sport stick feel like a real stick car.

For those of you who have been to Watkins Glen and have driven the old track, when it was still a road course on the road, I dipped down the hill going to the stone bridge doing 100, hard braking and downshifting, came off the stone bridge doing 70, hard right to go up the esses and hit 105 at the top before more hard braking and an abrupt left with a straight away before the stop sign. I never did look to see what the speed was before I had to brake for the sign.

Put a 383 small block in it, sort out the kinks, and put it on my shortlist.

My weird one is a 1960 Cadillac 75 limo w/air for going out for a night on the town with friends.

My father bought a brand new Matador sedan in the early 70's. The first new car he ever owned, banana yellow. Biggest pile of junk ever. I think he wore out the warranty on it...lol. He traded it for the second brand new car he ever owned. A 1976 Plymouth Valiant sedan. That was a great car, slant 6 and all. Plum crazy purple with a white vinyl top. I learned to drive on it. Seems like yesterday.
 
70s Toyota celicas

I love those. Look at it. They were DIRECTLY going after the early Mustang fastback crowd. It has some of the same styling cues.

one day, my brother told me about a mustang fastback he saw sitting off in a field on a farm several miles from his place. I went looking to see if I could get my hands on it- sure enough, it was a Celica :/

It was far enough away that you couldn't get a feel for the size of the car from the road (although I could tell instantly lol)

'69 Corvette, must have 427 Tr-Power, factory side pipes, Fathom Green with saddle interior. I've wanted one exactly like this for at least 40 years!
