Heres a story for you. I was 19 years old in the navy. Saw a Mopar on a fork lift going to the crusher. I yelled STOP! It was a 64 sport fury convt, 426 wedge 4 speed car, All there and complete. Bought it, got it running good and REG in California with salvage title. Alls good for 5 years. Then I moved to Indiana and took it to cop shop to get VIN verified to REG in Indiana. Im waiting and here comes the trooper with weapon drawn!! Seems it was stolen in 1966 and was still on hot sheet, just not in California. Vin had been tampered with and trooper caught it. I lost that sweet car on the spot, walked back to my fathers house. YOU NEVER KNOW!!
