You never say never with most Mopars but to have a 1968 RR with a 318 goes against their entire advertising campaign of a cheap car with a big motor. I believe your VIN RM23F8R245761 was fabricated by someone. The VIN should also not appear on the core support & even when it did on later cars it was incomplete, it would have the plant & year along with the sequence #. Someone must have put that number there, a pic might help.

The reason that your title is clear is because the Vin is likely fabricated, and as I said earlier there is nothing tying your clear title to the car.....other than a stamping, which anyone could do, and is not there on any other 68 Chrysler product. The missing Vin tag, fender tag and stamped Vin where it should not be are huge red flags.

Did Chrysler do strange things? Sure, there is the odd car painted a color that wasn't advertised, but they built millions of cars, and there are far to many strange things about yours.

We would love to see a picture of the stamping.
