Turbine Dart

So how did this work ? Looks like the turbine spun a backwards mounted pinion. If so, how could you drive it with the standard engine/trans since the driveshaft would need a front mounted pinion...unless there were 2 pinions.....I like it:burnout:

i think the turbine was geared down to run the rear mount pinion, as seen in the add posted above, then the driveshaft drove the u-joint and shaft that ran back to the gear up gears to drive the pinion.

it was basically a quickchange rear end with stupidly low ring and pinion gears(6 to 1 maybe?) so the drive shaft needed a fair but of gearing up to reach a normal rear end ratio, but the turbine needed lots of gearing down to reach a ratio it could drive the car at.
