While taking the interior apart door panels ect. I found a 1964 quarter that looks like its been there since 64. Thought that was cool.

I found Old matchbooks from the sixties. Gas tickets, and the old pull off beer can tops. LOL

That quarter doesn't have copper in it. Bounce it on the table next to a '65 and up quarter and hear the difference. Pretty cool.

You are so right. That's the year they changed isn't it.

Worth more than a quarter, too!

All i ever find is petrified corn nuts.

Corn nuts start out petrified! Those could be from yesterday.
They're the thing my dentist loves best since they bring him the most patients. Better than candy or high-sugar sodas.

I always keep a 1965 quarter in my ashtray for good luck. Canadian and American (because my car was born in the USA but now lives in Canada)

The '66 Dart GT I restored had $2.57 worth of coins in it, most of which was under the back seat cushion. A few of the pennies had laurel branches on the side of the back side of the penny (pre-1959).

Most unusual find in a car. My roomie from college bought himself a Mercury Capri as a graduation present. He brought it by one day asking if I could help him with a clunking noise in the rear end. We isolated it to the right rear wheel well. We took the tire off, nothing. The we took the inner panel off and found an empty German mineral water bottle hanging from a stiff piece of wire. There was a note inside the bottle that read, in English, "You found it".

I have heard very similar stories before coming from new cars. Seems to be a result of grumpy line workers or union workers before a strike.

I found an ice scraper from a Reno casino. Might explain the extra rust in the CA car I bought. Well, Donner Pass is still in CA.

I found a box of kleenex under the front seat of my 64 Belvedere when I got it. Looked period correct, then saw the same box in a Dean Martin movie from 64. Car is gone but I still have the Kleenex box.

I have found change, candy, matchbooks, mice nests and some refer roaches. I find plenty behind dashes too

I found a 1965 quarter in my 64. It was under the panel to access the fuel tank filler neck.

Craziest thing....I found...no kidding...Jimmy Hoffa!! I thought he was in to Chevys!:wack:MT

It's not fair to tell us to guess, then give us the answer....

I found rust in the floorboards of mine.

years ago i knew a guy that cleaned cars up at a dealership. he had a big container of coins. he never had to buy his own soft drink.

In 1990 during the build of my dads 68 fastback.....a small bag of weed.....the car was a Colorado car.....a prelude of things to come?....Dang.

My 72 swinger had plenty of rats turds.....and a few coins.

When I removed the back seat of my 68 I found some romance novels (the creepy 70s kind - that are graphic).

I also found matchbooks for various hotels in the lip under the glovebox liner. When I removed the original carpet I found absolutely nothing, just a couple bits of modern change and the floors looked brand new still.

When i took the dash out of my 65 Barracuda I found a 1965 dime and a 1966 nickel.

gosh... all those neat things and the only thing i found in the trunk of my dart was jimmy hoffa....
