Not an a body but my dad has always run steel chrome wheels on his 72 cuda. So I had these torque thrust wheels laying around for my other cuda project. Long story short I gave him the wheels and pretty much had to convince him to put them on.... wait I had to mount and balance them no less for him.

The wheels took quite a few hours of polishing each to bring them back to life

Wow! Those look a lot better - nice job polishing them up, too!

Great job!
Its always great to see a old set of wheels get cleaned up and
put on an old car. Takes ya back a few decades at a glance.
Lots of work but well worth it.
Most new wheels cant deliver the same effect.
Super looking cuda.

Since American Racing starting making 5 spoke mags in the 60s, I haven't seem a car they don't look good on!!!

The difference is night and day to the good.
Tell him I said he should pay you for the improvement!

Thanks guys, I have always like torque thrust with the grey centers. I rather see them get used rather then sit on the shelf for years until I get to my 73.

Car was out for spring cleaning, Hasn't been really out much in years. Along with the wheels it got the rest of the black interior installed finally, some paint touched up, trim/paint polishing and few other small things. Still looks good for being painted by my dad 20 plus years ago.

What did you use to clean the rims with?

To clean the wheels I had to sand the wheel first.I used 120 grit,200 then 320. After that I used mothers aluminum polish on a buff ball. For the centers just sanded them and painted them with charcoal duplicolor wheel paint.

Took around 4 hours a wheel to get them how I wanted, I used sheen genie stuff to seal the polished part of the wheel to help keep it clean.
