Roller bearing or not? If you see it in the flesh check for drawer bottoms dragging and broken spot welds. $1000

Yup roller bearing drawers. 1000? I figured a bit more than that, but I guess that's why I'm asking, lol.

That was probably close to 4K new. So unless somebody is on crack, they'll probably laugh at a 1K offer.

Well, I called the guy this morning, and he said come look at it, so I did. I asked him what he wanted for it, as he didn't say in the ad and was a little elusive on the phone, and he told me a price.

I couldn't get it in the back of my truck fast enough.

Brought it home and cleaned and lubed everything.

I have been saving this stuff called "load secure" from when I haul giant rolls of paper or thin cardboard, it is layed on the floor under one edge of these giant rolls standing on end to keep them from sliding.

I had no idea what I would use it for until today, it makes perfect drawer liner.

Thanks, it will replace two of the clunky tool boxes I have now. I have wanted one for a while, to go with my other SO box, but refused to pay the prices. This one I could not say no, he didn't want anywhere near what I thought he would.

Looks a lot better in your pics than the ones from the ad. Nice score.

So what did you have to give? Inquiring minds want to know. LOL

I'm ashamed to say, I'm probably going to lose sleep over it tonight, or should I say the wife will. It was all her doins', she found it, said she had some cash tucked away, and twisted my arm, lol.

3 bills.

Sleep like a baby ! You didn't steal it. You donated $300 to his financial needs and he gave you the boxes for your generosity! You did good my friend. Way good!!!!

That is one hell of a score. I was going to say it is worth 2000. I bought a used one, same vintage but half that big from snap on a few years ago, used and dirty. I think I paid 800. Some of the ball bearing slides in mine were worn and full of crap. The dealer warrantied them. Nice!

Yeah, I have to replace two of the sliders on two drawers. Luckily it's the left on one and the right on the other, lol. Snap On sells them in pairs, a left and a right. So I have to invest another 58 bucks in it.

The guy was selling off everything, to move out of state and this wouldn't fit in his little pick up so it had to go. He was telling me he thought he had it priced to sell, but some flakes were offering him ridiculous low ball offers. I didn't even argue with him.

One good thing about it, I won't ever have to buy another tool box.

Snap on usually guarantees the drawer slides..

If I bought it from them. I had a long conversation with one of their reps a while back.. Do you remember the thread we were discussing it in, I had the ratchet problem that they wouldn't honor?

I can certainly try, all they can do is say no, lol.

Actually a small price to pay for the sweet deal you got. Sleep good Bruce. tmm

We've only bought used ones too...Never bought a new one and never will !!

Man you got screwed! Since I will occasionally do random acts of kindness, I am willing to step up and give you what you paid for it! I know I know it is hard to believe but I will do this for you. Nice Deal!

That bottom is a KR660?
I bought one new in 1991 and paid $1500.00 for it from the tool man.
You did well.
