Stick a hose on it and shove it into the passenger frame rail hole. My canister went bad and that was the fix for me.

You do want to be careful not to put the end of that line too low. Some of those vent locations on the tank do see fuel when the tank is full. If you jack up the back of the car, it might be enough to start a siphon from the tank.
