I'm going to start saving for a down payment son I can get one if it happens.

Love that!!! it surprisingly shares many cues with the original, I think they did a great job! Nice find:)

If they did it would probably be a 4 door to compete with tahoe/suburban.Dodge has nothing in that segment of the market.

It sucks that this is just an April Fools Prank. I've always loved the Ramcharger and have had 2 of them. I was very dissapointed when they didn't produce one in 1994 (although they did in Mexico for some reason). I would love to see it return, but almost certain it will not.

This went around last year or so on April 1st

APRIL FOOLS JOKE GUYS!

Remember today is the 3rd and it showed up 2 days ago

I had an 84 Ramcharger and a 79 Trailduster

Several things I liked about them. Had several Broncos too. Really liked them too.

Yes a Ramcharger with a Cummins diesel would really be a nice vehicle to use as a daily driver. Seen one at Carlisle probably back in 2007, someone did a nice job of converting it.

Nice bronco with a 7.3 or Ramcharger with Cummins, awe if only I had the energy. Really today trying to find a nice vehicle to convert would be the hardest part at least in my area, they are all rust buckets.

I agree, I been hearing this chit for years and it never came to be :coffee2:

Very few of their concepts ever come to fruition. Remember their "modern 69 Charger" concept? That would have swept the market had they produced that.

looks dated. Was hoping for something fresh.

Yep, it's dated alright. April 1st. You should read the 4wheeler magazine article on it and comparing it to the sought after concept Bronco SVT from last year.

Seems like all the magazines were in on the joke.

Hey, I built a Cummins Ramcharger a few years ago, and it wasn't that hard of a conversion. There's no way they'd build a new one with a diesel.

Fred, love the truck

What kind of fuel mileage do you get?

Has to be better than the 12mpg I got from my 84 with 360 4 barrel

Must be nice to have rust free old iron out there.

6000lb truck, with mild tweaks to the pump and timing, ran 14.7 in the 1/4 mile on those 35inch mud tires in 2WD. Truck dynoed at 360HP/860TQ and would net between 16-18mpg. I sold it after about 2 years of road time, and was able to get very good money for it, since the truck was ultra clean, and the conversion was top notch.

I've had a few Ramchargers and my Aspen is all of them and a bag of chips better. Yesterday I was rolling 30 mph down a potholed mountain road fresh from winter's wrath looking for fishing holes with the whole family in amazing comfort, 345 up on tap getting 18 mpg.
That was article was an April fool's joke butvitvwould be a joke any day of the year. It is too bad they dropped the body on frame SUV in 2009 for the current model but lots of nice "Ramchargers" still out there from the 2004-2009 models.

The 2004-2009 was full size. Smaller then a surburban and slightly smaller then the latest Tahoe but bigger then the Durango based on the dakota of the 90s and early 00s.

It was bigger than the 90's Dakota, but it wasn't full size. Dakotas of the same year were the same size as Durangos, same basic platform. Dodge hasn't had a full size SUV since 93.
