Is it safe to say that the 70 and newer trans had the shift interlink side cover? This appears to be of earlier years.?

You'd be correct. 64-70 had the ball detent style (which this one is). 71-Up would have the interlock (raised casting line between detents)

1968 and on tranny's would have the raised machined pad for vehicle serial# and production date.
 
how much would shipping be to Henderson Nevada 89014? I could either go residential or business delivery..I am only interested in the 4 speed trans.
