Hey guys,
On my 69 Dart,
I've got the rear end and tank in, now I'm routing the new 3/8" fuel line. My question is, how does it route around the shock, over, behind or in front? Pics would be really great if anyone has some,
Thanks,
Martin

Did you take pics before taking your old ones out? I have my 71 Dart going through the same situation with my old lines still in place. Will go look up there soon and report back what I see. Hope the 71 is same location as yours is.

Way to go. Now nobody knows. What a wasted thread.

I was new when I pm'd the pics to the other member. Hell, I not certain how to up load pics. Load to computer and add as a attachment? I got the pics on my phone and think I added them to my computer and than pm'd them out the first time.

LOL, didn't realize this was that old. I guess alpha was looking for the line routing though.
You can load picks from pretty much any device. Just look under the text box at options and click upload photos. Pretty easy to follow.

I was looking it up today because I pulled the fuel lines over the winter and I'm just now getting to putting new 3/8 in. Line in. I couldn't remember how the line was routed. I apologize for earlier, I was a little irritated that I hit a dead end. I routed it in front of rear shock anyway. I wish I would have stumbled across that other thread. I've read too many threads and they all end just when it gets good haha.
Thanks for updating ZKX14.:)

That is awesome. I stopped one the body on mine. Just finishing a 408 stoker on a 360 block. Crazy bad *** motor. Pro built. High 400's. About 525 if I fuel inject it. It on the Dyno now getting itself broke in and adjusted. I get back to the body and suspension next. I ground up my cars. Body is last. Needs a complete upgrade to handle this kind on power. Dodge never envisioned us putting **** loads of power through their crappy chassis.

If you get some fuel line pics or description of your rebuild efforts, post them up. Fuel delivery, management is so important! Takes way more money to do it right than most want to spend at first.

I will jack the car up and get some pics tomorrow. I wasn't sure where to.route the fuel line in the engine compartment. I wanted to.keep it away from the heat near the headers. So as soon as I cleared the firewall, I ran it right up the firewall and across the fender and then mounted my fuel filter on the fender because I got tired of reaching clear down by the pump to change it and now I can see my filter at all times. I figured it would help diagnose any fuel issue as well. Then I'm going to put another filter after the pump so I can see if I've got fuel to the carb.
I was having a rust problem along with sticky needle valves. I'm glad I'm done with the fuel line and the carb rebuild,I want to cruise! Tank is being cleaned as we speak with EvapoRust. That **** is awesome! My tank is almost like new again.

My 71 Dart sat for 21 years...That tank and lines where completely rusted out. New Aluminum tank. 3/8 lines. I will hook it all up after I sort the suspension front and rear. Thinking of getting the K frame re welded and boxed. The back needs mini tubes and the axle rebuilt to shorten the axles, etc. Switch large bolt all around and 4 wheel disks. 17x8 up front and 17x10 in the back should work well? Calif 318 car, so I kind of looked at it as a plank canvas to be do how ever I liked. Now a bucket seats, center console with a auto. Have a slap stick shifter for it, new looking. Great center console. It was a small bolt, disk car. Buckets are like new, came with it. This guy just gave up on the project about two years ago. He hit it big in the real estate upswing and bought a boss 302 new. Had a few restored Mopars also . Just got tired of the dream and was floating in quick cash from the commissions. Selling those 800K+ houses in the south bay to all the google, apple, etc rich kids.
I just a average working union guy, oh well...I still happy.

I would route both lines above the shock. If it were to ever break loose for whatever reason, the shock would be less likely to pull the fuel lines loose if they are both run over it.

Well I tried to get pics on here but I can't seem to manage it. I feel stupid. Haha I did take rustys advice and ran both lines over the shock mount. I'm sure it won't be a problem but why not. Lol

Alpha, Keep trying to post the pics because I'm routing my fuel lines next month.
Thx for bringing this thread back.

If your pics are too large, resize them to 40% in microsoft paint and then post.

it is telling me I need to enter the URL for the image. Do I need to load them to image shack or something?
